Celebrating 30 Years of Machine Concepts

Much of what we do at Machine Concepts starts with a blank slate, engineering custom machinery that can perform in the most demanding manufacturing environments. Creating from scratch isn’t just part of our design/build approach – it’s in our company DNA.

Our Beginnings

Machine Concepts founder John Eiting was a trailblazer in his own right. After earning his degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Cincinnati in 1980, John started his career at Ford Aerospace in Palo Alto, California. He returned home to Minster, Ohio, to help build his father’s company, Precision Strip, Inc.

After several years of leading the engineering, design and build arm of the business, John stepped out on his own to create more equipment and sell it to other companies. He founded Machine Concepts in 1994 with, as he used to say, “a pot of coffee, a telephone and a Rolodex.”

From One-Man Show to Thriving Team

As the company grew, John maintained the importance of hiring great people and giving them the space to do what they do best. “Take good care of our employees, they will take good care of our customers,” he’d say, “and everything else will take care of itself.”

This philosophy has made Machine Concepts a trusted name in engineered machine building over the last 30 years. Today, we proudly employ more than 100 engineers, shop team members and staff.

Celebrating 30 Years of Machine Concepts

The small, west-central Ohio town of Minster might seem an unlikely place for an industry-leading machinery builder. But our focus on good values, our people and getting it right continues to win us big-league projects and repeat business.

We’re proud to celebrate 30 years of Machine Concepts. The years ahead look bright for us as we continue to embrace and drive change, value our people and customers and engineer innovative machine solutions.
